Set up a booking in your storefront

Create a booking offering and configure its price, duration, capacity and schedule.

Bookings lets customers reserve a lesson, piece of equipment or shared facility for a selected date and time through your Checklick Storefront. Customers select available times, register the participant and complete checkout.

Before you start

Sign in with manager access to the organization and select the correct Storefront. Decide what customers will book, the length and price of each time slot, and how many places or resources are available at once.

Create your offering

  1. Open your Storefront, select Options and find Bookings.
  2. Add a booking and enter a clear name, such as “Private lesson” or “Kayak rental.”
  3. Select the booking interval. This determines the duration of each time slot.
  4. Enter the price for that interval. Check the displayed unit before saving.
  5. Set the capacity: the number of places or resources available during the same time slot.
  6. Configure available days, hours, breaks and the booking season. See Set booking availability and customer limits.
  7. If individual courts, boats or instructors need to be identified, configure Name resources and set up instructor notifications.
  8. Set any advance notice, minimum slot requirements and customer limits.
  9. Add any instructions you want included in confirmation emails.
  10. Save and review the offering in your Storefront.

Understand duration, price and capacity

For example, an hourly kayak rental with four available kayaks has a one hour interval and capacity of four. Set the price for one interval. If customers must rent for at least two hours, require a minimum of two slots.

Capacity controls simultaneous availability. Customer limits control how many slots a customer may book over the configured period.

Choose the interval carefully before accepting bookings. Follow the restriction shown in your account if the interval can no longer be changed.

Pricing and checkout

Bookings follows the same pricing and fee structure as other Storefront products. Customers use the standard Storefront cart and payment process, including applicable discounts and taxes.

Review before accepting bookings

Check the description, price, resource names, dates and times. Review an ordinary day, a closed date and a break. Follow Book a lesson or resource through a Checklick storefront to check the customer experience.

Once customers book, use View and manage your bookings calendar to review the schedule.
